The Government today ruled out plans for another demonetisation in case of a cash surge in the country's economy. This was stated by the Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.<br />''<br />''He also denied that reducing cash flow in the economy was one of the goals of the 2016 demonetisation of high-value currency notes.<br />''<br />''The Minister added that the aim of the demonetisation was to contain the rising incidence of fake currency notes and limit the usage of high denomination banknotes for storage of unaccounted wealth.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said, the move was also intended to contain the rising level of using fake currency for financing subversive activities like drug trafficking and terrorism.</span><br />
