Government has ruled out any Sports Regulatory Authority to mediate between National Sports Federations and other stakeholders. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha today, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mr. Ajay Makan, however, informed that the government is already working on appointing one or more National Sports Ombudsman to settle the sports related disputes. He further added that the Ministry has placed in the public domain a preliminary exposure draft for inviting comments and suggestions on the issue.
