Govt rules out any immediate hike in prices of LPG, Kerosene

Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that government will continue with the extant pricing policy of petroleum and LPG.

Ruling out any immediate hike in prices of LPG and kerosene he said the new government will continue with the policy of subsidising cooking fuels, kerosene.

He said NDA government will also not disrupt previous UPA government's policy of up to 50 paise a litre increase in diesel price every month.

He added subsidies and reforms are not contradictory, they can co-exist and government will pursue reforms with continuing subsidies.
