Govt reviews progress on ease of doing construction business in Delhi, Mumbai

Government has reviewed progress on ease of doing construction business in Delhi and Mumbai. According to an official release, Secretary, Urban Development, Rajiv Gauba and Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ramesh Abhishek held a review meeting in the national capital today with all the concerned agencies. They appreciated the Common Application Form introduced by the MCDs of North, South and East for enabling single window clearances in Delhi. The MCDs reported that 10 agencies including Heritage Conservation Committee, Delhi Fire Services, and Delhi Jal Board have already been integrated with the Common Application Form. There is no need for the applicant to separately approach these agencies for No Objection Certificates now. Officials of Mumbai, who participated in the review through video conference, reported substantial progress. They assured that total integration would be ensured by the end of this month.
