The Centre reviewed the developmental projects in five Left Wing Extremism affected states of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar. The meeting held in New Delhi yesterday, was chaired by the Minister of State for Home, Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary. <br/><br/>During the interaction, apart from operational matters, developmental issues like roads, mobile towers and infrastructure in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) centres were discussed. Mr. Chaudhary asked the Directors General of the CAPFs to adhere to the time-lines for appropriate utilization of the budget.<br/><br/>Issues related to coordination between State Police and CAPFs also figured in the meeting. Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi, Directors General of CAPFs and DGs of concerned state Police among others were present in the deliberations.
