The center has released a commemorative postage stamp to mark the Centenary year of Zoological Survey of India. The stamp was released by Communication and IT Minister Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, in the presence of Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi today. <br/><br/>Addressing the gathering on the occasion Mr Prasad said, the old organizations like Zoological Survey of India has laid the foundation of modern India and the people should remember their contribution. He said there is need to leverage the technology to educate the bio-diversity of the country. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, said the government will increased the work force of Zoological Survey in coming days. He also asked the officials to conduct more seminar in the country to create awareness among the people about the Zoology and bio diversity in the country.
