The Government has released grant- in- aid worth of 109 crore rupees for construction of rural roads in Andhra Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).According to the Ministry of Rural Development, the sum is from the special window created in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development as grants in aid to the Andhra Pradesh State Rural Roads Development Agency. PMGSY is a hundred per cent centrally sponsored scheme to provide road connectivity in the rural areas of the country.
