Govt rejects Team Anna's demand to set up SIT

In Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, the world famous Khardongla pass which is gateway to Siachen Glacier and the Nubra valley has been reopened for one way traffic this afternoon. Our Correspondent reports that the more than four hundred stranded tourists and passengers who were trapped in multiple landslides were safely rescued.

AIR correspondent reports that, with the improvement of weather and fast joint rescue operation by the army and district police at the Khardongla pass, one way traffic movement has been restored this afternoon. But only heavy army vehicles and light civilian vehicles are being allowed to ply on the road. The rescue team had administered oxygen to 120 people and treated other who have facing high Altitude sickness at the South and North pullu.

On Friday evening the pass blocked due to heavy snow sliding and land sliding and the several numbers of vehicles carrying tourists were remained trapped for nine hours.
