Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said that Opposition’s demand for Prime Minister’s statement on religious conversion in the Rajya Sabha, is not acceptable to the government. He was replying to a media query on the disruption proceedings in the House on the issue outside Parliament. Mr Naidu said the Government wants that Parliament should function smoothly and transact legislative business. Mr Naidu said, issues of public importance should be given prominence rising above politics.
