Govt rejects Congress demand for JPC probe into DDCA irregularities

Government today rejected Congress demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the alleged financial irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the JPC is not constituted on such false and fabricated charges. He also dismissed the demand for the resignation of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

He said tarnishing the image of others to hide their own corruptions are the old tactics of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. Mr. Naqvi added such allegations will expose the real faces of these parties. Yesterday, Congress had said Mr Jaitley should not continue as minister till the probe is completed in DDCA case. Mr. Jaitley was the DDCA President.
