The government today sharply reduced the Minimum Export Price-MEP of onions to 150 dollar per tonne from the existing MEP of 350 dollar per tonne. The decision was taken after a meeting between the Agriculture Minister and the Commerce Minister in connection with sharp decline in wholesale onion prices in Maharashtra.
