After Opposition parties were today joined by some ruling alliance leaders seeking a discussion on the price rise in Budget session of Parliament, the government has made it clear that it is ready to discuss all issues. <br/><br/><br/>The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj said if government agrees to this proposal the house will function smoothly. Opposition is demanding a full fledged discussion on 23 rd February on the issue. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said the government is ready to discuss all issues including the Indo-Pak foreign secretary level talks in the session beginning on Monday. AIR correspondent reports that Trinamool Congress and DMK also joined the opposition in seeking a discussion on price rise.<br/><br/>Though the focus of deliberations as indicated by the leaders will be the rising food prices, Maoist violence, Ranganath Mishra Commission report and Justice Sageer Ahmed's report on Jammu and Kashmir will also hog the limelight. <br/><br/>While the main opposition BJP says it will allow the House to function without disruption, if price rise issue is taken up for discussion on 23rd February, the Left parties maintain incase the issue is not taken up at the earliest, they will bring an Adjournment Motion.<br/><br/>The Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar said at the end of two hour long meeting that all parties have agreed to extend cooperation for smooth running of the session. <br/><br/>Asked about changes in rules, to prevent collapse of the Question Hour, Mrs. Kumar said the rules committee had approved amendments to ensure uninterrupted proceedings. Other leaders who participated in the meeting include Gurudas Dasputa of CPI, Sudip Bandopadhayay of Trinamool Congress, TDP leader Nama Nageswar Rao, AIADMK leader M Thambidurai and T K S Elangovan of DMK.
