The Union Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated a State-level Biotech Hub and a Bio-informatics Centre at the Tripura Central University at Suryamaninagar near Agartala today.<br/><br/>Addressing the inaugural programme, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that the Union Government is providing an unprecedented priority to the development of North Eastern States and creation of infrastructure in all sphere is being brought in place. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi, having a great vision and innovative approach, is genuinely concerned for the welfare of North East people, he added. After the formal inauguration, Dr. Vardhan exchanged views with the faculty members and others present at the occasion. <br/><br/>The State Biotech Hub and Bio-informatics Centre have been developed by the Tripura Central University with funds given by the Union Department of Biotechnology. The aim of this hub & the centre is to increase the awareness of biotechnology by providing training and lecture to the students as well as teachers from school level to college level.
