Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said, the government is committed to provide more opportunities in rural areas to tackle the migration of people in urban areas.<br/><br/>Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Mr Naidu said, the people residing in rural areas move to the urban areas for economic activities, better education and other facilities.<br/><br/>Mr Naidu said, the government is giving interest subvention of 6.5 per cent on housing loan to beneficiaries belonging to economically weaker sections including slum-dwellers and low income groups.
