<span style="color: #222222;">Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the government provides financial assistance to meritorious students from the economically weaker sections of the notified minority communities under different schemes.<br />''<br />'' Mr Naqvi said his ministry implements three scholarship schemes for educational empowerment of students of  Buddhists, Christians, Jains, Muslims, Parsis and Sikhs communities for pre matric, post matric, class eleventh to PhD.<br />''<br />'' The minister said his ministry also provides merit cum means based scholarship for technical and professional courses at under graduate and post graduate levels. He added  in all these schemes 30 per cent scholarships are earmarked for girls.<br />''<br />'' Mr Naqvi said for students of minority communities pursuing full time M.Phil and PhD courses in universities and institutions in India they get financial aid under Maulana Azad national Fellowship  (MANF).<br />''<br />''He said besides this under Padho Pardesh Scheme the Government bears interest subsidy for meritorious students of notified minority communities.</span><br />
