The government provides attractive compensation to the employees of sick and loss making Public Sector Undertaking companies. Replying to supplementaries in the Lok sabha, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Anant G. Geete today said the interest of the employees are kept in view while formulating revival and restructuring plans for PSU companies including the provision of VRS, settlement of employees related dues, statutory dues.<br/><br/>The minister informed the House that government on October 27th, last year has provided in principle approval for strategic disinvestment or merger of Cement Corporation of India Ltd and Engineering Projects (India) Ltd. Mr Geete, however, said Department of Public Enterprises has no information on unrest among the workers due to their dues.
