The Government has said that procurement of paddy under the Central pool is progressing smoothly in Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2021-22 in various procuring States. The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution in a statement said, so far, a quantity of nearly 881 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Paddy has been procured. It has benefited more than 1 crore 30 lakh farmers with an MSP value of over one lakh 72 thousand crore rupees.<br />'' <br />''In the case of procurement of wheat, a quantity of nearly 188 Lakh Metric Tonnes of wheat has been procured so far, during Rabi Marketing Season 2022-23. A total of 17 lakh 83 thousand farmers have benefited with an MSP value of around 37 thousand 866 crore rupees.
