Government has brought forward the target date for full completion of rural road connectivity under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, PMGSY by 3 years from 2022 to 2019.<br/><br/>Rural Development Minister Birender Singh said this in New Delhi today. He said the accelerated implementation will be achieved by providing enhanced financial allocation. Mr Singh said, the government has also decided to increase the annual allocation during this fiscal by 5,000 crore rupees. With this, the total Central allocation to states would be 15,100 crore rupees in 2015-16. <br/> <br/>The Minister said, the enhanced level of Central allocation to States would help in providing connectivity to 29,000 eligible habitations in the next two years.
