The government has said that a blue print has been prepared for second green revolution in the country for which eastern districts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand and Assam have been given a help of 400 crore rupees.
Talking to media persons on Saturday at Lucknow Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said that it would be further enhanced in the next budget.
The agriculture minister has said that there was a need to ensure adequate remuneration to farmers for their produce in order to overcome food grains crisis in the country.
The union minister has said that sugar production this year is expected to be more than last year and the biggest contribution in this would be that of Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra .
Regarding rising prices of essential commodities Sharad Pawar has said that inflation must be checked.
