The Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram today said that the government is prepared to talk to any group in the Kashmir valley which is willing to come forward for talks. Admitting that the situation in the valley is not yet normal, Mr. Chidambaram said he has always been for a quite dialogue with all sections of society, groups and political parties. While admitting that there has been some interruption in the process, Mr. Chidambaram said the government has no reservation in talking to our own people. In reply to a question, whether some political parties were behind the situation in the valley, Mr. Chidambaram said presumably they could be behind it.The Home Minister denied that separatists writ runs in the valley saying that they are able to mobilise support and urge people to indulge in stone pelting and call bandh but their aggressive action is limited to Srinagar and a few other towns. He said that Jammu and Kashmir government has taken some measures and hoped that these will help in normalising the situation.
