The Congress party has refuted accusations by the opposition parities that the wrong policies of the government were responsible for the slump in economic growth and the slide of the Indian Rupee.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi on Friday, Party Spokesperson Renuka Choudhary said the current economic crisis was a global reality and the growth of all major economies across the world had been adversely affected.

She pointed out that even amidst the adverse global economic worries, Indian economy had registered an impressive growth rate compared with the advanced countries.

She hoped that the slide of the Ruppee would be soon arrested and stabilised.
