The government is planning to utilise the Geostationary Satellite Launch Vehicle, GSLV, for commercial space launches. Antrix Corporation Limited, the commercial arm of the Department of Space, is now exploring the possibility of clinching contracts.

Giving this information in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State in PMO, Jitendra Singh said potential customers are being pursued. The capability and advantages of GSLV is being publicised at various international forums to secure launch opportunities on a commercial basis, he said.
