Government has plans to take digital literacy to atleast 50 per cent from the current level of 15 per cent in the next three years. <br/><br/>Telecom and Information Technology Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad said 100 per cent digital literacy is needed to make India a truly digitalized society. <br/><br/>He was speaking at a function in New Delhi today to award winners of Digital India Week's Online Quiz Competition on Cyber Safety and Cyber Awareness. <br/><br/>Mr Prasad said the world is keenly watching developments in India and it is the responsibility of the youth to come up to expectations. <br/><br/>He said more than four thousand innovators have come to explore possibilities in the fields of IT and electronic manufacturing in the country. <br/><br/>Prior to the award function in the morning, a workshop on Cyber Safety and Cyber Awareness for school children was also conducted, wherein students were sensitized on Cyber Safety.
