Govt plans to introduce no-work-no-pay formula for Parliamentarians: Minister

Even as logjam in Parliament continues, Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma has said the government was mulling<br/><br/>no-work-no-pay formula for Parliamentarians. Talking to media on the sidelines of a function in Varanasi yesterday, Mr Sharma said government is considering the option of stopping salaries if Parliament transacts no business because of disruption. He said the continuous deadlock in Parliament is being viewed seriously by the government. He held Opposition parties responsible for the stalemate in Parliament, saying Congress had no valid issue to raise in Parliament.<br/><br/>Both Houses of Parliament have seen repeated adjournments in the Monsoon session with the Opposition demanding the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, and Chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh over Lalitgate and Vyapam scam.<br/><br/>
