Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Mr. Raghu Menon has said that the government would facilitate orderly growth of the film and media industry. Speaking at the ‘India-The Big Picture’ Conference, held as part of the 40th IFFI at Panaji on Tuesday , he said the government recognizes that piracy is the single biggest threat of the entertainment industry and said stringent steps will be taken to enforce laws to fight the menace. He said that issue would also be discussed in detail at the State Information Ministers conference to be held in Delhi on the 5th of next month. Complimenting the industry, Mr. Menon due to sustained efforts of the stakeholders, India had emerged as a favourite service destination for animation, gaming and visual effects.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Digambar Kamat who inaugurated the conference invited filmmakers to explore the potential of growth of entertainment industry in the state. The daylong Conference deliberated on issues of film financing, expanding the market of Indian cinema and exploring global alliances to see the country emerge as a service destination in entertainment.<br/>
