Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the government plans to award contracts worth 3 lakh crore rupees by May next year to boost highway building. Also, on anvil is augmenting the National Highways' length to 2 lakh km by August this year, he said.Speaking at a function in New Delhi Friday, the Surface Transport Minister noted that creating a world class infrastructure in highways is the top priority of the government.
