The government is planning several measures including moving the Supreme Court on the issue of high cut off marks percentage for admission in Delhi University. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal today said he will sit with the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University on the issue of high cut-off marks percentage. He said the existing education system is working against the policy of access to education. Sibal was concerned that it will be difficult for backward candidates to get admission if the cut-off marks is above 90 per cent.Meanwhile, Delhi Police today arrested two employees of the Delhi University in connection with supplying fake caste certificates to students for getting admission to colleges. The arrests came following the interrogation of a three member gang who were arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police for supplying fake caste certificates. Deputy Commissioner of police Ashok Chand said that after the interrogation of the alleged masrtermind of the Gang, it came to light that these employees were facilitating them to issue the fake caste certificates.
