The Prime Minister said, he has asked the group of ministers to look into the issues of revamping existing government procedures to reduce discretion and to make the basis of decision making as transparent as possible. Dr. Singh said, the government had proposed to introduce a legislation to govern government procurement besides strengthening the regulatory institutions.
