The government today approved 12 Foreign Direct Investment, FDI,proposals worth over 2609 crore rupees. The approval to the FDI projects were given on the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board,FIPB, that had met on the 13th of last month. The approved projects include in areas of commerce, pharmaceuticals, engineering services and single brand retail among others. The FIPB also deferred nine projects while rejecting one.
