Vice President Hamid Ansari said on Saturday that government must restore people’s faith in police and justice delivery system. After releasing the Delhi Human Development Report 2013 in New Delhi he said the issues of safety and security has been agitating the public mind. Underlining the need of ensuring a safe and secure environment for vulnerable groups like children, elderly people and women the Vice President said that lack of safety and security in public places affects the daily lives of all citizens.

Referring to the findings of the Delhi Human Development Report that listed progress and achieved in the human development agenda, Ansari said that Delhi government should ensure more improvement in various sectors including employment, education, health, housing or provision of basic services.
