Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the Gujjar leaders of all political parties to come forward in finding a solution to the ongoing reservation issue. Talking to media persons in Jaipur today, he urged these leaders to give their suggestions to ensure reservation to Gujjars and other SBCs. Gehlot assured them that these suggestions will be taken into account while filing the reply in the High Court. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to take all possible steps in ensuring reservation to SBCs. The deadlock over third round of talks between the government and Gujjar Leaders continues, as the Gujjar Leader Col. Kirodi Singh Bainsla is firm on his demand, of senior Congress leaders giving guarantee to the Gujjars, that this time the government will fulfill its commitment to give five per cent reservation to the Gujjars. Col. Bainsla said only after receiving this guarantee the Gujjar delegation will leave for Jaipur to hold talks. Union Minister of State for Telecommunication Sachin Pilot arrived in Jaipur evening. He will meet the Chief Minister, Group of Ministers and other Gujjar leaders to find an amicable solution to the problem. His meeting with the Chief Minister may prove significant in building confidence between the government and Gujjar leaders. The Delhi-Mumbai rail section remained blocked for the 13th consecutive day today as the dharna of Gujjar protestors continues on railway tracks in Pilupura. The Jaipur-Agra national highway is also blocked as a result of dharna in Pipalkhera near Dausa.
