Govt making efforts to discuss report on coal with Opposition: Khurshid

The government has said it was making all efforts to persuade the main opposition party to discuss the CAG report on coal block allocation.

Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Law Minister Salman Khurshid rejected the opposition's demand for Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's resignation.

Mr Khurshid said the entire nation accepts that we are fortunate to have such a Prime Minister and that such a Prime Minister is leading us.

The minister termed as unfortunate the continuous disruption of Parliament where MPs come every morning with hope, expectations and aspirations of the people of our the country.
