Government is making all efforts to ensure availability of safe drinking water and improved sanitation facilities in the country. Inaugurating the 69th round of the National Sample Survey, NSS, Training of Trainers in New Delhi today, Minister of State for Statistics and Programmes Implementation Srikant Kumar Jena said during this round, National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) will collect data on drinking water and sanitation, hygine and housing conditions which are crucial to overall improvement in the quality of life. Mr Jena said that sustainable good public health with a focus on hygiene and affordable sanitation facilities is a matter of concern.
