Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today said a decision on infusion of Rs. 1200 crore equity in Air India is expected to be taken by next month. Speaking on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Mr Patel said a cabinet note has been moved for infusion of Rs. 1200 crore as equity in Air India . The minister hoped it should be approved next month. He said the airline has already taken a number of steps to reduce its costs. The Government has already provided Rs. 800 crore of the Rs. 2,000-crore which it has pledged to provide the state-owned airline. In reply to a question on Navi Mumbai airport, Mr Patel asserted that it would come at the proposed site and the clearance will be given next month.
