The government is likely to introduce a bill to protect whistle blowers in the budget session of Parliament. The Minister of State for Personnel and Public Grievances, Prithviraj Chavan said that the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers Bill has been drafted and is being considered by the government. He said that an empowered group of ministers has been set up to finalise the proposed bill.<br/><br/> AIR correspondent says that incidents like the killing of project director of the National Highway Authority of India, Satyendra Dueby after he fought corruption in the road constructikon project has brought to the fore the need for protecting whisle blowers.
