As part of measures to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, the Government has launched a Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme. It will provide financial assistance for not- for -profit organistions to conduct appropriate commemorative programmes. The programme may be promoted through lectures, seminars, workshops, literary festivals, exhibitions. An official release said Centre’s assistance is limited to 75 per cent of the estimated cost of a proposal or programme.
