The government today launched a special fellowship under which 416 scholars from 52 African nations will be able to come to India and pursue research. <br/><br/>Each of the 52 African countries will send eight students under the C V Raman International Fellowship started by the Department of Science and Technology.<br/><br/>Science and Technology Minister Prithviraj Chavan said these students will be allowed to do research in the acclaimed institutions. <br/><br/>Mr Chavan said the government is keen to see that relationship with Africa deepens at academic and research level. AIR correspondent reports this will promote cooperation with African countries in science.
