Railways today launched IT enabled passenger services for the convenience of passengers. These include paperless unreserved ticketing through mobile phones on suburban stations of Central railway, and paperless platform tickets at select stations of Northern, Western and Central Railways.<br/><br/>The other application relates to paperless monthly season ticket on suburban sections of Western Railway, Central Railway and New Delhi-Palwal section of Northern Railway.<br/><br/>Launching the App, Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu said, passengers will have to download the mobile app from Google Play Store or Windows Store to avail the facility. <br/><br/>Mr Prabhu said, passengers can book single journey ticket and platform ticket also by choosing appropriate option in the app. The payment has to be made using R Wallet.

Government today launched a mobile app under the Digital India programme to save time and avoid the usage of paper for tickets.<br/><br/>Launching the App, Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu said, passengers can avail paperless season tickets on mobile phones on Central, Western and Northern Railway.<br/><br/>He said, the passengers have to download the mobile application from google play store or window store.<br/><br/>Mr Prabhu said, passengers can book single journey ticket and platform ticket by chossing appropriate option on the app.
