Govt keen to promote Public-Private Partnership in National Security: Hansraj Ahir

Minister of State for Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir has said the Government is keen to promote Public-Private Partnership in National Security. Addressing the 5th Annual International Conference and Exhibition on Homeland Security in New Delhi today, Mr Ahir appealed the industry to make the best of the opportunity offered through the Make in India programme. He said, government is taking steps to meet the new security challenges and procuring the latest hi-tech equipment for the Security Forces. <br/><br/>The Minister said, India being a large country with vast borders besides being densely populated, faces numerous internal and external threats to peace and security.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Israel's Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon said, India and Israel have common global concerns on national security issues. He said, terrorism is a global challenge and there is nothing called good terrorism or bad terrorism. <br/>The two-day Conference is being organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, ASSOCHAM.
