Strongly defending Anna Hazare's preventive custody, Government today said that he and his supporters had made it public that they will defy the prohibitory orders. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, the Home Minister P Chidambaram said if Hazare and his supporters were not happy with the conditions imposed by the Delhi Police for their proposed fast they could have challenged it in a court of law.He also ridiculed Hazare's contention that their Jan Lokpal bill draft has to be considered, saying, laws cannot be made by social activists .Mr. P Chidambaram however made it clear that the governmnt is not against holding any demonstration or peaceful protest.
