Govt issues travel advisory on Chinese visas

The government today issued a travel advisory on Chinese visas. In an official release, the ministry of external affairs said, the Chinese embassy in Delhi and Chinese consulates in Mumbai and Kolkata are issuing visas on a separate piece of paper stapled to the passport to certain categories of Indian nationals on the basis of their domicile. <br/><br/>The release said, such paper visas stapled to the passport are not considered valid for travel out of the country. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent quoting highly placed sources reports, that the external affairs ministry has taken up the issue with the Chinese. The release said, visas should be pasted on the passports as is the usual practice.
