<span style="color: #222222;">The Government today warned that Twitter may face action if it does not comply with it's orders, stressing that the social media house unilaterally unblocked accounts and tweets – linked to an objectionable hashtag related to the farmers' protest – despite its order.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology had earlier issued a notice to Twitter to comply with its order to remove obnoxious and malicious contents and accounts related to farmer's issue. It said the contents were created with malafide intentions to inflame passions, hatred and are factually incorrect.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Government in a statement said, this is a motivated campaign to create tension among society on unsubstantiated grounds and incitement is not freedom of speech, it is a threat to law and order.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The statement said, Twitter is an intermediary and it is obliged to obey directions of government and it cannot assume the role of court and justify non-compliance.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
