The Government has issued 29 show cause notices to different channels for violating Programming Rules by telecasting adult, obscene or inappropriate content.
In most cases, the channels have submitted replies to the notices, which are being considered, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said this in reply to a question raised by BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in the Rajya Sabha.
