Govt is working to upgrade mini-Anganwadi centres to full-fledged centres: Union Minister Smriti Irani

Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani has said the government is working in a speedy manner to upgrade mini-Anganwadi centres to full-fledged Anganwadi centres. She said, there are over one lakh 17 thousand mini-Anganwadi centres across the country. Ms Irani was addressing an event, Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi in New Delhi today.<br />'' <br />''The main objective of the event is to highlight the criticality of focusing on early childhood care and education. As per the guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020 with a focus on Poshan bhi Padhai bhi, the government has taken up the goal of strengthening the foundations of the country's future generations.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Under Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi, every child would be provided with at least two hours of high-quality preschool instruction on a daily basis. To fulfil the vision, Anganwadi centres will be strengthened with high-quality infrastructure, play equipment and well-trained Anganwadi workers and teachers.</span><br />
