<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh has said that the government is implementing several schemes for conservation of water in the country. Inaugurating the National Watershed Conference virtually the Minister said that the government is working on rejuvenating watersheds and ensuring water quality. He informed that at present the cultivation is being taken up at 141 billion hectares of land and irrigation facilities has been made availivale on an additional 17 lakh hectare of land. Mr. Giriraj Singh also added that 3.50 lakh hectares of land which was lying barren was made fertile after treatment.</span><br />
