Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav today asserted that the Cheetah reintroduction plan is on the right track and&nbsp; through it&nbsp; India will showcase an example of wildlife and nature conservation.&nbsp; Replying to a media query on Project Cheetah in New Delhi, Mr. Yadav said the Cheetah reintroduction plan is about to complete one year and during this period Cheetahs have to adapt to the weather,&nbsp; establish their territories and prepare their prey base. He said the young scientists and foresters are monitoring the project. <br />''<br />''The Minister added that Project Cheetah is a special programme to move from ecological wrong to ecological harmony and expressed confidence that the country will succeed in it.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''Under the project, 20 cheetahs were translocated to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh from South Africa. On the occasion, the Minister also highlighted the achievements of the environment and labour sectors. He said the government is taking many measures for wildlife conservation and the number of tigers has increased by 42 per cent in the country in the last nine years. He said that the number of leopards and rhinos has also increased. Mr. Yadav said the government has made forest clearance transparent.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister also said the centre has taken several measures for labour welfare. He added that the number of members in EPFO has increased to 2 crore 57 lakh which shows that employment in the organized sector has increased after 2014.&nbsp;</span>
