Union Minister of petroleum and natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan said that Government is going to infuse 40 billion dollars of investment in exploration and Production of Gas. He was speaking in the interactive session held for showcasing the opportunities in India's Energy and Power sector organized in Mumbai today. He further highlighted about the increasing demand for oil and gas that will play a role in India's growth trajectory and offered new 61 discovered oil fields.<br/> <br/><br/>The session focused on the Transformational Hydrocarbon Exploration and Licensing Policy (HELP) Framework aligned to Prime Minister's vision of reducing import dependency on oil and gas by 10 per cent by the year 2022, and the overall vision for Energy Security. HELP is a market driven policy framework which will generate a fresh wave of investments in the Indian E&P sector through the Innovation open Acreage licensing (OAL) programme based on an investor friendly sharing model, combined with marketing and pricing freedom.<br/> <br/><br/>He discussed key reforms in the sector Discovered Small fields Round, Hydrocarbon Exploration and Licensing Policy (HELP) . There were over 300 delegates , Ambassadors , leading business professionals and international media houses present at the meet.
