<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar today said that the government is focusing on the development of villages in the country. He was speaking during the national awards distribution function for various schemes under his Ministry in New Delhi.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Tomar said, roads are being constructed at a fast pace to connect villages with urban areas. He said, quality health care services and standard education are reaching the rural areas due to several efforts by the Centre. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said, more employment opportunities have been given under the MGNREGA and corruption in the scheme have come down substantially in the last four years.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He added that a large number of houses are being constructed for the poor. He gave away awards to 236 people for different schemes of the Ministry of Rural Development.</span><br />
