Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said government is encouraging digital transactions and electronic payments as the cost cash transaction is very high. <br/><br/>He was speaking on taxation and cashless economy at an event in New Delhi. The Minister said country is moving towards an environment where the adverse consequences of dealing excessively in cash is altered. <br/><br/>Mr Jaitley said government wants to bring a regime where taxation system is efficient and use of technology is maximum. <br/><br/>He said a taxman's job is a thankless one where they do the unpleasant duty of catching the offender, but are charged of harassing people.
