Govt. invites FDI in textile sector

The government today called upon the foreign investors to invest in textile sector which has huge market. Union Textile Minister, Mr. Dayanidhi Maran while inaugurating 24th IAF World Apparel Convention in New Delhi, said that India has low cost skilled young manpower for the textile sector. He said that foreign manufacturers can established their facilities and produce goods and sell in Indian markets. Mr. Maran said the foreign manufactures should not worry about the piracy. India has very stringnt law to deal with this. The Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia said textile sector is second largest employment generation after agriculture.
